AURORA HOTEL

This is a feasibility study for the city of Aurora for the restoration of an existing eight story masonry hotel. The study is for the future development of the hotel in conjunction with the River Boat Casino Project on the adjacent site.

The redesign of the hotel program was to create a modern room with sizes to attract hotel operators. Existing spaces on the ground floor include a Great Room overlooking the river with tenant spaces and hotel functions. The Great Room was enhanced by the addition of a cantilevered exterior deck. Being a historical structure, the exterior was maintained with a new ornate canopy designed for the main street entry.
