LAKEFRONT/DREXEL PLANNING

Johnson & Lee was employed to establish design guidelines for the Lakefront/Drexel Properties on Chicago’s South Side. With a great deal of input from community groups, the firm developed fifteen design scenarios for community review.

Of primary importance was to re-weave these areas back into the fabric of the surrounding communities. Once this task was completed, design guidelines were established to be utilized by prospective developers in the RFP process for the two sites. One of the proposals is shown below. The proposal is for 500+ units of housing.
