ROBERT TAYLOR HOPE VI

Robert Taylor Public Housing Development was an urban renewal project that was parallel to the Dan Ryan Expressway through Chicago’s mid southside. The development consisted of 28 fifteen-story high rises. The crime ridden development became unmanageable and was demolished.

The Hope VI Project was designed to restore the street grid and the building fabric through new lowrise assorted building types ranging from flats, townhouses, single family buildings maximum of three stories.
