BOWLES RESIDENCE

Winner: The Good Neighbor Award The Chicago Association of Realtors, 1999.

Located in Chicago’s Historic Kenwood District, this single family home addresses the need to be in aesthetic harmony with existing structures in the district as well as accommodating the client’s need to entertain.

The entrance is a two-story rotunda, which houses a circular stair. The rotunda’s ceiling is terminated with a conical skylight. The dining area is also two stories tall and is adjacent to an eat-in kitchen on one side and the living room on the other. The residence also contains five bedrooms, four and a half baths, family room and full basement. The grounds contain a regulation tennis court. The attached three-car garage is situated on the side of the residence to limit visibility from the street.
