INDIANA MANOR

This development is comprised of eleven sites with sixtyseven rental apartment units. The sites are located in Chicago’s Bronzeville area, on Indiana Avenue between 43rd and 49th Streets.

The basic design is a forty-foot square module with either three units or four units. The lower level is comprised of two (2) one-bedroom, one (1) two-bedroom unit, or one (1) four bedroom unit. The upper levels are made up of two (2) duplex three-bedroom units.

The sites are designed with various building facade treatments to blend into the adjacent context. Multiple masonry patterns with limestone trim form the gabled, octagonal bays. The buildings are aligned with adjacent structures to reinforce the street’s edge. Decorative metal fences with landscaping complete the street facades. Parking and sodded rear yards complete the sites.
