   KENNEDY KING COLLEGE Construction Cost: $250M Project Completed: September 2007 Owner: Chicago Public
  Building Commission  Richard Daley Center Suite 200 Chicago, IL 60602 A new community college situated at the intersection of 63rd and
  Halsted Street in the Englewood neighborhood of Chicago. The project included extensive programming with the City Colleges
  of Chicago and the Chicago Public Building
  Commission. There were numerous presentations to the surround ing community for design feedback. The firm is responsible for all aspects
  of the project. The New Kennedy King College has six buildings, with several of them framing a
  traditional collegiate quadrangle on Halsted Street. 
  The college includes a new culinary school, a theater, WYCC television, WKKC
  Radio, HVAC laboratories, automotive shops, classrooms, library
  building, athletic facilities and a day care building. The college has both student support services and community
  services. The student-run book
  store, graphic services, restaurant
  and day care serve the general public. In addition to 800 parking spaces the campus is accessible by two
  public transportation surface lines as well as the green line elevated rapid
  transit line that runs through the campus.  |
